Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) has elected David Greenberg as its new board chair. Greenberg has served as the CEO of L’Oréal USA and President of the North America Zone since February 2022. He brings a wealth of experience from his 30-year career in the beauty and personal care industry.
Greenberg has served over 30 years at L’Oréal in a variety of leadership roles across different markets, divisions, and brands. Before serving as CEO of L’Oréal USA, Greenberg led major acceleration and business model transformation of the Professional Products Division in the U.S. and Canada.
This appointment comes after Greenberg’s long-time role as Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors having promoted the historical passage of the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulatory Act of 2022. According to PCPC, he will now shift to promoting the role beauty plays in society as a whole.
PCPC President and CEO Tom Myers commented: “David is a visionary industry leader whose profound understanding of the beauty landscape and his commitment to innovation has driven substantial growth in every role he has held. His transformative strategies, coupled with a strong focus on consumer-centricity and people development, have been instrumental in his leadership at L’Oréal USA. We are thrilled that in his new Board role, he will help us continue to navigate the evolving market dynamics and advocate for the beauty and personal care sector.”
“I am honored to serve as the board chair for the Personal Care Products Council, an organization that plays a vital role in the advocacy and progression of the beauty and personal care industry,” said Greenberg. “I look forward to working alongside other industry leaders to further foster a landscape of innovation, safety, and trust that meets the diverse needs of our consumers worldwide.”
Under Greenberg’s leadership, PCPC will increase its advocacy efforts to promote science-based public policies and promote the industry’s commitment to innovative and sustainable cosmetics and personal care products, to 'enhance consumer trust in the safety and quality of products.'
