Waters joins the company from his position as managing director and North American chief executive officer for Boots Retail International, the United Kingdom’s leading health and beauty retailer.Alberto-Culver:Gina Boswell has been appointed president of global brands for the Alberto-Culver Company. Boswell will oversee global brands such as Alberto V05, TRESemme, St. Ives and Nexxus, R&D, and consumer insights.HBA Global Expo:Jill Birkett has been appointed event director, cosmetics & fragrances business division for CMPi, the producers of the HBA Global Expo events. Birkett will manage the sales and operations of the annual HBA Global Expo and Educational Conference and spearhead the growth of the HBA brands including the spring educational conferences and the HBA industry awards.L'Oréal:Nathalie Tang has been promoted to vice president and general manager for Redken and PureOlogy worldwide. In this role, Tang will lead her team in evolving the Redken and PureOlogy product catalogues and oversee the development of brand image, sales, marketing and education to increase global business.Dan Seidel has been promoted to assistant vice president, sales administration. The current chairman of the board, Dieter Ammer, is resigning his office after three years. He will remain a member of Beiersdorf’s board. Pöllath is chairman of the supervisory board of maxingvest ag, the management holding company that holds 50.46% of Beiersdorf’s shares.Arno Mahlert will succeed Reinhard Pöllath as deputy chairman of Beiersdorf’s supervisory board. Mahlert is chairman of the management board of maxingvest ag. Gisellys Cabrera has joined Risdon as executive assistant. She brings 20 years of expertise in creative product development, custom print & packaging, film/ TV and brand licensing to the New York City graphics studio.Shiseido:Louis Desazars has been appointed CEO of Nars Cosmetics. Desazars currently is the U.S. president of Beauté Prestige International (BPI), a Paris-based fragrance company owned by Shiseido. Desazars joined BPI in 1996 as vice president for Europe, and was promoted to U.S. president in July 2004. Nars was acquired by Shiseido in 2000.Kline:Gianluca Gallori has joined research firm Kline & Co. as director of Kline’s management consulting practice; he will focus on clients within the consumer products industry.
