The Tube Council has announced the winner of its Scholarship Program, which recognizes outstanding achievements and innovations in tube packaging design and technology. The announcement was made at the Council’s Membership Awards dinner on May 7th.
The panel of judges has selected Kayla Bullock, a senior at Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly, NJ. Kayla will graduate in June with a 4.0 GPA; she has been accepted into Princeton University to study molecular biology.
Julie Rice-Suggs, PhD, Academic Director at The Packaging School, and a member of the judging panel, lauded Kayla’s “extremely impressive resume with the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and lots of mentorship activities. She is committed to her future and it shows.”
2024 applications were received from seven high school students across North America. All entries were evaluated by a panel of judges including professors from two university packaging programs.
For over than 70 years, the Tube Council has served as an open forum for member squeeze tube manufacturing companies, its supply base, customers, end users, and educators to discuss and act on industry-related topics and initiatives.
